Jesse was nice and knowledgeable. Really enjoyed the class
Jesse was very knowledgeable and presented the material in an easy going but thoughtful manner. He answered questions to everyone?s benefit and did not condescend.
This was my second excursion onto the downtown streets in Jesse's class. The lessons were even more insightful this time. I especially liked that he gave each of us personal time and reviewed and commented on our photo taking results.

The instructor was great. The photowalk was amazing. Highly recommended !
I thoroughly enjoyed Jesse's class. He broke down the basics into clear segments and then we got out on the street and put to practice what we learned. Jesse provided clear exercises and helped us manage our cameras to get the shots we tried for.
Jesse Najera made class truly enjoyable, easy to understand and, oh, did I mention well paced and fun? He is very knowledgeable and the experience provided a ton of technical skills, which with practice will raise my game going forward. Also, the location was great with unlimited subject matter in the downtown area. I have already highly recommended Jesse's class to friends.

I enjoyed the hands on experience with the teacher.
    went very well
I learned more in 3 hours than I have in multi-day courses. Michael was easy to learn from.

Title or Location: Northern Lights from Bakersfield, CA
The photo was taken at Highway 178 and Rancheria Rd. in Bakersfield, CA at 12:00 am.I have always been fascinated with space. When I heard that we had the possibility to see the northern lights, I immediately knew I had to go out and see it for myself. So me and my dad drove for 20 minutes to get to a darker part of town with less light pollution. It was so beautiful, you could make out a red, hazy hue in the sky, but the white light rays were so prominent and bright.Camera Settings: Canon

This image was captured during the totality phase of the solar eclipse on Monday, April, 2024, in Ft. Worth, TX.The gear: Canon Rebel T7, EF 70-200 lens set at 200mm, 2X converter, Lee 100 x 100mm solar filter. The settings: ISO 6400, -2 ev, f/5.6, 1/1000 sec.My thoughts: There are times when a photograph, no matter how impressive, simply can not compare to the enormity of witnessing an event. This was one of those times.

I was at Riverwalk early morning with my fianc? as he was there to run a 5K for the Race Against Trafficking which was being held the morning of January 27, 2024. He runs many races in the Bakersfield area so this was just another early start to the day for us. I am new to Bakersfield and have been enjoying photographing Kern County. We both enjoy hiking and nature so I couldn?t resist this gorgeous shot of a Bakersfield sunrise on a chilly January morning.

I attend Bakersfield community college studying BNW film photography and was in the library before class and was drawn to the light on the wall and the student sitting underneath it. Initially I was going to use my film camera but opted for my digital camera to use a quieter electronic shutter and not a loud mirror slap from a film camera, didn?t want attention drawn. Camera used is Fujifilm XE-3 with 23mm f2 lens and ilford HP5 film simulation.

Title or Location: Stub Stewart State Park Hilltop area
This was the day of famous Northern Lights visible in most of the North America. Stubs Stewart is the most ideal dark area for star gazing so I reached there around 11pm. As expected, it was full of enthusiasts. The lights were predicted to be at peak between 10pm - 2am. Around 2pm, when we though the "show was over", the lights started getting incredibly bright, and that is when this picture was taken. Interestingly, the lights were bright in some regions and other regions were faded enough to

It's a famous road for Golden Poplars, but I wanted to capture the Milky way passing over trees that have lost their leaves. it was early evening, but the Milky Way was already high up, so I quickly took some photos and returned to Sydney.

Last February, I left Sydney with my friends at 6pm to capture the first Milky Way view of 2024. I was very anxious because I saw a lot of clouds on the way, but I was really happy to see clear skies as I passed Newcastle. When we arrived at the lighthouse, fortunately we were the only ones in the group, so we were able to take photos without any disturbance. The lighthouse light, which was not too bright, was very helpful in filming.
